Sölden in winter

A day on the slopes. An evening to unwind.

Powder snow beneath your skis, crisp mountain air and countless ways to enjoy the winter.

Sölden is synonymous with skiing at the very highest level – and MAMOA is your hassle-free base for it.

After an active day, it’s back to the studio, skis in the locker and feet up. Perhaps pop into the village for a drink. Or simply round off the evening on your own balcony.

Skiing at the very highest level

147 kilometres of slopes. Two glaciers. One ski resort.

Sölden is one of the ski resorts in the Alps with the most reliable snow conditions: 147 kilometres of slopes, two glaciers and an excellent snow-making system guarantee first-class conditions from autumn right through to spring. Modern mountain railways take you quickly and comfortably from the valley to the summit – with no waiting times at all.

From relaxed, leisurely skiing to a sporting challenge at over 3,000 metres: the Sölden ski resort offers the perfect run for every ability.

The BIG3 in Sölden

Three peaks. Over 3,000 metres. An unforgettable experience.

With the BIG3, you can easily reach three peaks over 3,000 metres by mountain railway: the Gaislachkogl (3,048 m) with its spectacular 360° panorama and the suspension bridge leading to the ice Q restaurant, the Tiefenbachkogl (3,250 m) with views across the glacial landscape, and the Schwarze Schneid (3,340 m) with views stretching as far as the Dolomites.

Sporty guests can take on the BIG3 Rally: around 50 kilometres and over 5,200 metres of elevation gain across the entire ski area.

007 ELEMENTS

Welcome to the world of James Bond.

At an altitude of 3,048 metres, built directly into the rock face of the Gaislachkogl, lies 007 ELEMENTS – a spectacular film installation at the original filming location of the Bond film *Spectre*. Spanning 1,300 square metres and featuring nine themed rooms, you’ll find video and sound installations, interactive stations and original props from Bond’s history.

Just a few steps away, the ice Q restaurant – also a filming location for “Spectre” – invites you to enjoy a bite to eat whilst taking in the panoramic views.

Winter walking in Sölden

Enjoy the silence. Step by step.

Away from the slopes, groomed winter walking trails through the Ötztal valley await you – past snow-covered meadows, along the valley and offering ever-changing views of the surrounding peaks. It’s the perfect way to take a deep breath of crisp winter air, whether you’re out for a short stroll or a longer hike with a stop at a mountain hut.

Cross-country skiing in the Ötztal Valley

Traces of tranquillity through the winter landscape.

Groomed cross-country trails for classic and skating styles wind their way through the wintry Ötztal valley – flat, scenic and suitable for beginners and experienced cross-country skiers alike. A relaxing way to wind down after a day’s skiing or a winter experience in its own right, surrounded by nature.

Tobogganing in Sölden

Down into the valley at full speed.

The toboggan run at the Gaislachkogl takes you back down into the valley at breakneck speed, accompanied by stunning mountain views. Turn after turn, the varied run winds its way through the wintry landscape and guarantees plenty of fun – whether with family, friends or as a nice change from a day’s skiing.

A particular highlight: thanks to the mountain railway, the ascent is completely stress-free, so you can save all your energy for the tobogganing. Whether you prefer a leisurely ride or plenty of speed – there’s something for everyone on the toboggan run. And once you’ve finished your run, the next one is already waiting for anyone who hasn’t had their fill yet.

Sledging in Sölden combines action, nature and genuine winter fun, making it the perfect way to round off an active day in the mountains.
